what they are doing. Right now they have just finished recording in the studio with Kevin Shirley and are getting ready to start the mixing of the tracks in January 2012. We are all excited and very eager to hear the new album. Hoping that this time the album is released in the States as well, rather than import.News on the Up and Coming New Europe Album.The band have finished, recording in the studio, this autumn time, at present the release of the next album is due to be around April time. Looking forward to this. The band have been putting short videoclips on their blogspot area of the fun and caper they have been up to in the studio. Ian has been posting these into his Facebook Page areas keeping fans occupied and eager for more.

27 July Niagara Falls:

Now touring with lovely Shannon, who didn’t have to come up but, she did, thank you Shannon. Niagara Falls, just simply BEAUTIFUL. The power & grace that Mother Nature possesses is just unreal. We had to wait in line for the Maid of the Mist but, with line jumpers, that was just great. Miss Anna, had left them a new asshole. I’m putting that nicely, but us Americans, 1 Brit & 1 Canadian don’t take shit from anyone. As Anna was ripping the new asshole, we were standing there just laughing our asses off. That should’ve went to Youtube but, another day or trip. Before the day ended there, we had gone to Dairy Queen for Sharon. She hadn’t ever had it so, just for her, we did. I had a Skor Blizzard, just divine, Sharon had chocolate dipped waffle cone with vanilla ice cream & Anna had a mixed waffle cone, & Shannon had a plain ice cream cone. DELICIOUS!!! We stopped my Mr. Horton’s had a nice cup of coffee and some fudge to go with it. Grabbed a cab to the train station & headed back to Toronto. & then the adventure continues. Stay tuned….

27 July Travelling Experience: The Border From Hell.

At the border… This was fun, hauling all our hand luggage and baggage from underneath the coach walking into the Border Control Area Standing in line waiting for our turn to be looked down at like something they control people had walked on. Finally we get our turn and thankfully we are successful in getting passed and let through. We get back on the coach our stuff put in the underneath carriage…. and 2 hours later we are still sat there on the coach waiting for other passengers still to get clearance into Canada. Due to not having the correct papers!! How the hell can people travelling think they can get by without having the correct paperwork? Daylight appears the sun is rising and we are still sat there. Finally all passengers back on board and we are all cleared to hit the road.

We finally showed up to the Toronto coach station 3 hours later than originally scheduled due to some passengers not having the correct paperwork DOH! We are tired and running behind our schedule so we jumped into a taxi thinking it would be $10 CAD and finding out its only $5 CAD and the coach station was only a block away. We check in finding we are too early for our room so we freshen up and put our baggage in the secure locker area at the fancy hotel, and it was a nice hotel too. Then hit the road running for the Greyhound coach to Niagara Falls. Some of us decided to fall asleep and have a good old snore on the way LOL!!

Finally we arrive at the coach station and meet Shannon.

26 July Travelling Experience: Part 2

Whilst on the bus, checking who is near us & around. Scenery changes every minute on the trip. Getting on the highway, it started on the road the rain & lightning have started. It poured for about an hour after that, I had to get up to use the NICE restroom (just nice & roomy). The field trip to get to the bathroom, is to step over a head of hair that needs to be cut desperatley. I accidently kicked her. She was not going to be moving anytime soon. Trying to sleep was a nightmare. I’ve been on trips before but, this is great. Sharon had gotten her runway lights up, I was helping her flag down the plane that was coming in for a landing. But we had it under control. Here come the leg cramps. Oh, Sharon had always wanted to a place kicker for the New York Giants. So she had her shot on the bus. As I, she made the team too. The same girl was kicked again. 1 point for me & 1 for Sharon. Anna who was sleeping so soundly was probably thinking what the hell am I going to do with these two? SO, while we stopped in Syracuse, Subway was great (no E or J trains, sorry). The poor man, was going to take 4 orders at one time but, some people just couldn’t have it their way & walked away. But, that breakfast was good. Just be warned, we are headed to the “Border from Hell.” To be continued…

We all met at Jamaica Station sat down at Tim Hortons cafe and had an iced coffee before onward journey. New York was HOT really stifling HOT!!

We headed over to where we were to catch our coach to travel onwards to Toronto. We had and had pannini’s in a lovely little cafe and the guy serving us was listening in on our conversations. Eventually we headed over the road to the coach stop and oh what fun it was watching all the different characters walking by LOL!!! Finally our coach arrives. Like kids we rushed for the top deck, back seats LOL and the journey begins …

Europe New Album update.

EUROPE, Sweden’s biggest rock band, confirm their next studio album, slated for April 2012 release, will be produced by the world’s hottest rock record producer, Kevin Shirley.

No stranger to the crème de la crème of iconic rock records, Shirleys produced albums for Iron Maiden, Joe Bonamassa, Black Country Communion, Black Stone Cherry and Journey.

“We still feel we have one hell of a rock record to make” says Europe’s singer Joey Tempest. “Kevins the man for the job. We love his work with Bonamassa, Black Country Communion, and Black Stone Cherry. He’s the real deal. We’re ready to do some serious damage.”

Last week Europe met up with Shirley in Stockholm to discuss the direction of the next album. Based on reactions from the fans and media, Europe’s 2009 album Last Look at Eden proved to be the band’s most important record since The Final Countdown. Ive been a big fan of Europe’s work for many years,” says Shirley. The band is influential and highly underrated. I can’t wait to make the upcoming album their most explosive to date.”

After summer 2011, Europe will finish the promotion of Last Look at Eden tour, and will start to focus their energy on the next album produced by Shirley. We’ve toured for one and a half years” adds Tempest. “Its time to write and record some new songs and get back on the road again in 2012.”

The new material suggests a more straight forward rock approach evident in Doghouse – a new song Europe performed on their recent UK tour. The song is also featured on Europes upcoming Europe: Live at Shepherds Bush DVD, released August 2011 on earMUSIC CDs and DVDs.

earMUSIC is also about to release a limited deluxe book with pictures be Denis O’Regan. “Live Look At Eden” features exclusive live audio and the stunning performance at last year iTunes Festival in London. Recording for Europe’s new album begins in Stockholm on October 3rd, for an April 2012 release.

Swedish hard rockers EUROPE are set to film the entirety of their London o2 Shepherds Bush Empire concert on Saturday February 19th. The concert will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in October 2011, and will also include a bonus live CD.

The London concert is part of Europes Balls N Banners UK tour which kicks off at the Glasgow o2 ABC on Thursday February 17th. The forthcoming DVD release will also include behind-the-scenes footage, including rehearsals and backstage banter filmed during the rest of the dates on the rest of the UK tour. Europe will perform music from their current album Last Look At Eden, plus classic tracks from their albums Wings of Tomorrow, The Final Countdown, Out of This World, Prisoners in Paradise, Start From The Dark and Secret Society.

“We’re taking some new directions with our songs, and we’re exploring different styles, says Europes lead singer Joey Tempest about the songs from the Eden album. “There is a definite classic rock vibe on some of the tracks… a tip of the hat to groovin’, funkin’ 70s rock songs, but ones we have bought into the here and now.
