Well it started out a good morning, waiting for us to get up and get dress for the show. There was 4 of us girls for 1 bathroom, which was good. had a few giggles/ laughs before heading out the door. it was cold and rainning a bit. We didn’t care. we were all in the Europe mood ready to see them rock us.. So we were early we all went to have fish and chip and a few drinks.. I was very tired and some where waiting i dooze off. which some people found funny, that europe was tiring me out before hand.. hahah. then we head to the waiting line to get in about 16:00hr. we were 2-3rd in line, which we were happy but freezing are ass off. So to help we took turns in standing in line so each one of us could go and run in the bar to warm up as it was getting closer to time team that work at the venue, started to bring out the line gates. As we waited one of the venue guys came out and told us that if anyone had a 02 card/ mobile they can get in before us. which did not make a lot of people happy in anyway and was not told about it. so the people who where there hrs before hand all the people who already in line had to wait. which most of us where piss off about it.. that is not right at all and it wasn’t on the venue website at the time of ticketing…
Finally we get in, sharon and egle ran first and got front row, because we wanted Pam and Egle to have the front row because this was their first europe show as for me and Sharon we stood behind them. and to see their faces was so priceless.. As we were leave to go have other drink since we were so high off the show. as Pam and I walk, i see a face and she said Anna” it was Iren and right there was cate too. so we stop said hello gave a hugs. I think waiting for friends. It was so nice of them say hello. very nice ladies…
Then went into the bar had one more before heading home.. We stop seen the tour bus. then heading for a taxie. What a great day that was…..

Europe Singer Says Steven Tyler and Joe Perry ‘Belong Together’

　I sometimes compare us to Aerosmith. I mean, we don’t even come close, but I think [Aerosmith guitarist] Joe Perry left for a few albums, and it wasn’t good and it was great when he came back. It was the same when John Norum left and he came back,” vocalist Joey Tempest of Europe thoughtfully admitted to Noiscreep.

“[It's that] guitar player/singer chemistry going on,” Tempest continued. “Me and John have that fire going on and I just hope they work things out, Steven and Joe. I actually just saw Joe. I was at the Classic Rock awards in London a couple weeks ago and he was there talking about his influences. [Steven and Joe] belong together.”

While Tempest is quick to point out the genius of Joe Perry, he doesn’t discount his own lead axe man, John Norum. In fact, Tempest is doing his best to make Norum a household name. In interviews promoting the new Europe release, ‘Last Look at Eden,’ Tempest is quick to give credit where it’s due, and for him, accolades should go straight to Norum. Even so, Tempest feels Norum is still woefully underrated as a guitarist.

“I know he’s underrated. I’m helping the cause, trying to talk about him in the U.K.,” explains Tempest. “He’s doing some great interviews now and people are beginning to realize what a talent he is for his generation. He’s amazing and he believes in every single note he plays and he does it very, very well. People that see him now and the reviews we get, people talk about how great he is. I think it’s slowly beginning to spread. I think the rock media is beginning to highlight him now.”

Europe hopes to tour America in autumn 2010. The band is currently playing cities in the U.K., Scandinavia and Asia.

Europe’s New Album Is One of Joey Tempest’s Favorites

Around since 1979, first as Force — and later Europe — singer Joey Tempest and guitarist John Norum worked together to create some of the biggest arena anthems in rock history. Now, the duo is back together with Europe’s latest album, ‘Last Look at Eden.’ The new record is trademark Europe: heavy guitars mixed with Tempest’s melodic vocals and some pounding drums.

“It’s one of my favorite Europe albums. I still have it in my car, and it was done in March,” Joey Tempest admits to Noiscreep. “I usually just put [the album] away after we’ve worked.”

‘Last Look at Eden’ is on the heavier side of all things Europe, and Tempest says that result came straight from the road.

“We started touring again quite a lot lately. That has really helped ‘Last Look at Eden’ come together. We toured with bands like ZZ Top and Chris Cornell and Robert Plant and Whitesnake last summer … and it really started to get us back into writing rock albums and not analyzing stuff too much and having fun in the studio. For some reason, we had a lot of fun doing ‘Last Look at Eden.’”

Tobias Lindell, who produced ‘Last Look at Eden,’ was an admitted Europe fan while growing up. Tempest says he is both grateful and pleased to work with people who grew up on his band’s music, believing that lifelong fans bring “excitement” to the table.

He said, “We’re very lucky to be able to do an album like ‘Last Look at Eden’ at this stage in our career. It could actually kick start things again. It actually has kicked started things again, especially in the U.K. where we’ve done a lot of promotion and other territories … we’re getting great reviews for this album, so what can I say? It’s a really good feeling right now.”

Joey Tempest on Coming to America and Loving Vinyl

“MP3 is today’s world and we’re all getting used to it and we’ll have to live with and it’s OK as a medium but it’s a bit compressed,” says Europe vocalist Joey Tempest. “Me being a musician, I hear the difference. I like better quality stuff. Vinyl? I don’t know if it will find its way back, but it’s a wonderful piece of medium. It’s lovely to hold and to try on your player. It’s a special sound, isn’t it?”

I recently interviewed Joey Tempest for Noisecreep and I thought I’d share some of that with you. Europe’s new album Last Look at Eden is phenomenal and the band is on tour right now in Germany and Asia.

While I was preparing for the interview, I checked out Europe’s official message board and there were many fans asking for a vinyl release of the new album.

“We did a vinyl of Almost Unplugged,” says Tempest. “That was a show we did that was covers. And we did some Led Zep covers. Last Look at Eden…I don’t know if it’s in the pipeline right now. Some of us in the band really like that (format) so it’s not impossible.”

Naturally I asked Joey when Europe would be coming to America to do some shows. I’m hoping the band will be here in the summer for a festival or two, but it’s highly likely the band won’t come to the states until autumn 2010.

“We have so many good things going on over here in Scandinavia and Europe right now…I want to do the best job possible in America,” explains Tempest. “We’re going to try and build it up slowly and come there in the autumn of 2010, which means we’re starting right now. We have meetings very soon and are starting to form a relationship with people we want to work with. We don’t want to just rush and you know, do a tour that maybe won’t help…it needs to build up slowly. It’s a big place and there’s a lot of rock fans there and we need to reach them somehow. America would be fantastic to do some stuff there. It’s a young country, made for rock n’ roll and it’s so nice to go there. As you know, we have a strong following in Europe and Scandinavia and Asia, so we have to take care of that as well.”
